Jonathan Groff simply wrapped his Broadway run within the musical Merrily We Roll Alongside and he’s already setting his sights on his subsequent musical!
The 39-year-old actor, who gained a Tony Award for his work in Merrily, is ready to play singer Bobby Darin in a staged studying of a brand new musical about his life.
Deadline reviews that an “eventual Broadway run” of the music is predicted, although a timeframe on the manufacturing and extra casting will not be recognized at the moment.
The musical is titled Simply in Time, named after one in all Darin’s many songs. His different hits included “Past the Sea,” “Mack the Knife,” “Splish Splash,” and “Dream Lover.”
Kevin Spacey performed Bobby Darin within the 2004 film Past the Sea and earned a Golden Globe nomination for the efficiency.
