“I didn’t need to do a protected first single, that was actually vital to me,” Jade explains. “I’m setting the tone of who I’m as an artist alone. I would like folks to listen to it and be like ‘what the f-ck is that tune?’. My worst nightmare is for somebody to listen to my tune and go ‘that’s good.’”
